Laptop GIGABYTE AORUS ELITE 16 (Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX, 16 inch WQXGA, 32 GB DDR5, 2 TB SSD, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070, Windows 11 Pro)

The GIGABYTE AORUS ELITE 16 is a 16-inch clamshell laptop designed for high-performance mobile computing. It combines an Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX processor with 32 GB of DDR5 memory and a 2 TB SSD, and pairs integrated Intel graphics with a discrete NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 GPU. The 40.6 cm (16") WQXGA IPS display (2560 x 1600, 16:10) offers increased vertical workspace, and the system ships with Windows 11 Pro installed in a grey finish.

Advantages

This laptop provides strong multi-core CPU performance from the Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX and fast system memory (32 GB DDR5-5600) for demanding applications. The large, high-resolution 16:10 IPS display gives more usable screen area for productivity and creative work. A 2 TB SSD delivers ample, fast internal storage while the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 offers hardware-accelerated graphics for rendering, gaming and GPU-accelerated workflows. Modern connectivity includes Wi‑Fi 7, Ethernet and Bluetooth 5.4, and the 99 Wh battery supports extended mobile use with a 240 W power adapter for charging and peak performance.

Suitable for

• Content creation: photo and video editing, 3D rendering and graphic design
• Software development and multi-tasking with large datasets or virtual machines
• Gaming at high settings and GPU-accelerated applications
• Business users needing a powerful workstation-class laptop with Windows 11 Pro

When it may not be suitable

While this model balances portability and performance, it is a relatively powerful machine that may be heavier and larger than ultraportable laptops; it may not be ideal for users who prioritise minimal weight and maximum battery life over raw performance. Additionally, users who require the absolute quietest operation under sustained load should check noise and thermal behaviour in real-world reviews, as high-performance CPU and GPU combinations can produce noticeable fan noise during intensive tasks.

How to use

Unpack the laptop, connect the included 240 W power adapter for initial charging and first-time setup, then power on and follow the Windows 11 Pro setup prompts. Install or update drivers from the manufacturer’s support site to ensure optimal performance for the Intel CPU and NVIDIA GPU. Use the system settings to configure display scaling for the 16:10 panel and allocate power profiles for balanced or high-performance operation depending on whether you require longer battery life or maximum CPU/GPU output.

What to consider before purchase

• Weight and dimensions compared to ultraportable laptops if mobility and carry comfort are priorities
• Battery runtime expectations under your typical workload (gaming and rendering reduce runtime significantly)
• Keyboard layout and regional variations (this model is offered with a French AZERTY layout in some configurations)
• Thermal and noise performance under sustained heavy load

Recommendations

For best results, keep system drivers and GPU firmware updated, use a high-performance power profile when running CPU- or GPU-intensive tasks, and connect the laptop to charge during prolonged heavy use to maintain peak performance. Consider external cooling or a laptop stand if you run extended rendering or gaming sessions to help manage thermals.
