The InLine® PCIe 2-Port RS-232 Card is the professional solution for expanding modern computers with classic serial interfaces. Equipped with two D-Sub 9 connectors, the card ensures reliable RS-232 communication via the CH382L controller. The card is the ideal choice, especially for industrial applications, mechanical engineering, or connecting measuring and control devices.
Thanks to flexibly adjustable baud rates from 50 to 921,600 bps and extensive signal sets (TXD, RXD, RTS, CTS, DTR, DSR, DCD, RI), the card is extremely versatile. The integrated 256-byte FIFO buffer ensures stable and high-performance data transmission – even with continuous communication or high data volumes.
The PCIe x1 interface allows for easy integration into modern systems and is backward compatible with older PCIe versions. How to use

Install the card into an available PCIe x1 slot (or compatible larger slot) inside the PC chassis and secure the appropriate bracket for standard or low-profile enclosures. Connect serial devices using standard DB9 cables to the two D-Sub 9 connectors. Install drivers supplied on the included CD or download current drivers for Windows (7 and newer, Server 2008 R2 and later) or a Linux kernel from 2.6.30 onward. Configure serial port parameters (baud rate, data bits, stop bits, parity, flow control) in the operating system or application to match the connected device.

Recommendations

Use shielded DB9 cables and enable hardware flow control (RTS/CTS) when working at high baud rates or with continuous data streams. Verify parity and stop bit settings to match legacy equipment and ensure ESD precautions when connecting or disconnecting devices.
