The InLine® interface card with four SATA 6Gb/s ports offers a powerful solution for storage expansion via PCIe. Equipped with the Marvell 88SE9215 chipset, it delivers stable performance with high data throughput – ideal for professional storage applications.
The card supports PCI Express 2.0 with a x1 interface, but is compatible with x1, x4, x8 and x16 slots, allowing it to be installed in almost any modern PC or server. Thanks to backward compatibility with SATA 3Gb/s and 1.5Gb/s, older drives can also be used without any problems.
With support for hot plug and hot swap, the card is ideal for IT maintenance scenarios and flexible expansion during operation. Native Command Queuing (NCQ) and port multipliers (FIS or command-based) are fully supported, so even complex storage concepts are no problem.

How to use

Install the card into an available PCI-Express 2.0 (or compatible) slot on the motherboard and secure it to the chassis. Connect SATA data cables from the controller ports to the internal SATA drives and connect power to the drives from the system power supply. Boot the system and install any required drivers for your operating system if they are not detected automatically. Configure drive order and RAID (if supported by separate software or hardware) within the OS or system BIOS as needed.

Recommendations

For best stability, use all SATA cables and power connections that meet the drives' specifications, ensure the motherboard BIOS and operating system have the latest updates, and install the manufacturer's drivers when available. Use this card in systems where additional internal SATA ports are required rather than as an external or hot-swap solution.
