The InLine® USB‑C 2.0 terminal block adapter with 5-wire connection cable combines the advantages of a modern USB‑C connection with the flexibility of open signal wiring. The USB‑C plug is permanently connected to a 5-pin screw terminal block – ideal for test stations, diagnostic devices, or embedded systems.
The screw terminals are clearly labeled (1: ground, 2: D+, 3: D–, 4: voltage, 5: shield) and enable secure and unambiguous signal assignment. The terminals with a 5.0 mm grid size support wires in the range of 16–26 AWG. Wiring is tool-assisted with a flat-head screwdriver ≤ 2.5 mm.
The integrated 1-meter connection cable reduces wiring effort and allows immediate use – e.g., on controllers, development boards, or mobile measurement systems. An EVA insulating layer on the underside provides additional protection when mounting on conductive surfaces.

How to use

Insert the USB‑C plug into the host or device socket. Strip and prepare conductor ends within the supported 16–26 AWG range, then loosen the screw terminals with a flat‑head screwdriver (≤ 2.5 mm), insert the wires into the clearly labeled positions (1: – / 2: D+ / 3: D– / 4: + / 5: S) and tighten the screws to secure the conductors under the pressure plates. Mount the terminal block on a non‑conductive surface or use the EVA insulating underside when placing on conductive surfaces. Verify correct wiring and that the rated current and USB VBUS (5 V DC) limits are observed before applying power.

Recommendations

Use the adapter for temporary connections, testing and prototyping where open access to USB‑C signal lines is required. Ensure wire sizes and screw torque are appropriate for 16–26 AWG conductors and avoid exceeding the 0.7 A per‑pin rating.
