HDD/SSD enclosure DeLOCK 42617

This plastic enclosure by Delock is designed for one 2.5" SATA hard drive or SSD with a maximum height of 9.5 mm. The transparent housing allows visual inspection of the installed drive and the enclosure connects to a host via a USB Type-C port. It supports SATA III drives and offers hot-swap capability.

Advantages

The enclosure uses a VIA chipset to provide SuperSpeed USB performance up to 10 Gbps (USB 3.1 Gen 2 / USB 3.2 Gen 2), allowing the SATA 6 Gb/s transfer rate of the drive to be fully utilised. A USB Type-C female port is mounted on the housing and a USB Type-C to USB Type-A cable is included for immediate connection to USB-A ports. How to use

Open the enclosure, insert a 2.5" SATA HDD or SSD (max. height 9.5 mm) into the SATA connector ensuring it is seated correctly, then close the housing. Connect the enclosure to a computer using the supplied USB Type-C to USB Type-A cable or an optional USB Type-C to USB-C cable. The drive should be recognised by the operating system and is ready for data transfer. For best performance, connect to a USB 3.1 Gen 2 / USB 3.2 Gen 2 or Thunderbolt port when available.
