The DeLOCK 42623 is a transparent plastic enclosure for one 2.5" or 3.5" SATA drive. It provides a USB Type-C connection (with included cables for USB Type-A or USB-C ports) and supports Serial ATA III interface and USB 3.2 Gen 1 data transfer. The housing includes a stand for vertical operation and allows hot-swap installation of drives without tools.

How to use

Place the enclosure on a stable surface or attach the supplied stand for vertical operation. Push the lid backwards with slight pressure to open the housing, align the 2.5" or 3.5" SATA drive with the internal SATA port and slide the drive in until it is fully connected. Reattach the lid until it locks. Connect the enclosure to a computer using the included USB Type-C or USB Type-A cable and allow the operating system to recognize the external drive. For safe removal, use the operating system's eject or safely remove hardware function before disconnecting the cable.

Recommendations

Use the enclosure on a flat, stable surface and ensure adequate ventilation around the transparent plastic housing. Avoid exposing the enclosure to liquids, strong magnets or extreme temperatures. When transporting a installed drive, first power down and disconnect the enclosure to prevent drive damage.
