The UNITEK S1103A Transparent 2.5" HDD/SSD enclosure houses a single 2.5-inch SATA I/II/III hard drive or solid-state drive (7mm or 9.5mm). It uses a Micro-USB B connector and complies with USB 3.0 (3.2 Gen 1) for up to 5 Gbps transfer speed and also supports UASP to improve read/write performance.

How to use

Open the enclosure using the tool-free mechanism, insert the 2.5" SATA drive ensuring the SATA connector aligns with the board, then close the case until it locks. Connect the enclosure to a host computer using the supplied Micro-USB B to USB cable. The drive should be recognised by the operating system; if necessary, initialise or format the drive in the system disk management utility before first use.

Recommendations

For best performance, use with a USB 3.0 (or higher) port and enable UASP support in the operating system when available. Handle the drive and enclosure on a static-free surface and avoid excessive shock or vibration. Ensure the drive thickness (7mm or 9.5mm) matches the enclosure before installation.
