The DIGITUS Freestanding rack Digitus DN-19 32U-6/8-D from the Dynamic Basic Series is a 19" network cabinet engineered for organized installation of servers, switches and other rack-mount equipment. With external dimensions of 1609 mm height, 600 mm width and 800 mm depth, and a load capacity up to 600 kg, this freestanding rack provides a stable, IP20-rated enclosure in a grey electrostatic powder-coated finish. The design includes two pairs of adjustable 483 mm (19") profile rails with rack unit markings readable in both directions, a roof prepared for fan modules and multiple cable entry options to support practical cable management.

How to use

Place the freestanding rack on a level surface and ensure sufficient clearance for airflow and cable routing. Remove the front door or side panels as needed to install 19" equipment using the adjustable profile rails; align rack units using the printed markings and secure devices with appropriate rack screws or mounting kits. Route network and power cabling through the designated floor or roof entries and secure them to avoid strain on ports. If ventilation modules are required, mount fan units into the prepared roof openings. After installation, close and lock the doors and reattach panels for security and dust protection.

Recommendations

For reliable operation, distribute mounted equipment weight evenly across the rail positions and keep heavier devices toward the bottom of the rack. Use cable management accessories and the provided cable entry points to maintain clear airflow. If the installation requires active cooling or higher dust protection, install compatible fan units in the pre-cut roof area and consider additional monitoring or filtration solutions.
