ASUS ZenWiFi XD4 Plus (B-3-PK) Dual-band (2.4 GHz / 5 GHz) Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) Black 2 Internal

The ASUS ZenWiFi XD4 Plus Mesh router system includes three AX1800 Wi-Fi 6 units designed to deliver whole-home coverage with dual-band (2.4 GHz / 5 GHz) performance. The system supports Wi‑Fi 6 (802.11ax) for higher throughput and improved efficiency compared with Wi‑Fi 5, and provides features such as Ethernet backhaul support, AiProtection Classic with parental controls, ASUS Instant Guard VPN, and compatibility with AiMesh for flexible network expansion. The package is compact with internal antennas, comes in black, and includes mounting holes and a screw pack for wall or shelf placement.

Advantages

ZenWiFi XD4 Plus offers faster theoretical bandwidth (up to 1800 Mbps combined) enabled by Wi‑Fi 6, stable whole-home coverage through a three-unit mesh, and the option to use Ethernet backhaul for more reliable links. Built-in security features include AiProtection Classic with parental controls and one-tap ASUS Safe Browsing, while Instant Guard adds easy VPN protection on public networks. The system supports AiMesh for simple setup and flexible expansion, and its compact design allows wall mounting or placement on furniture.

Suitable for

• Homes and apartments needing whole-home Wi‑Fi coverage
• Families requiring parental controls and safe browsing
• Users who want a Wi‑Fi 6 network for streaming and multiple devices
• Environments with Ethernet cabling where Ethernet backhaul is preferred

How to use

Place the three units around your home to ensure overlapping coverage, or mount them on walls using the supplied screw pack. Power on the primary unit and follow the three-step setup process in the ASUS Router mobile app to create the mesh network; the app performs one-time setup with automatic synchronization across the hubs. If your home has Ethernet cabling, enable Ethernet backhaul in the app to interconnect the units via wired links for improved stability. Configure AiProtection Classic, parental controls and Safe Browsing from the app, and enable Instant Guard when connecting to public Wi‑Fi networks.

Recommendations

For best performance, position units in open areas away from large metal objects and microwave ovens, ensure firmware is kept up to date via the ASUS Router app, and use Ethernet backhaul when available to reserve wireless bandwidth for client devices.
