How to use

Install Deco BE65 units around the home to achieve whole-home mesh coverage and connect one unit to your internet gateway. Use wired 2.5 Gbps connections where available to maximize backhaul performance or rely on wireless backhaul where cabling is impractical. Configure the network and security features in the TP-Link Deco app: set network name, enable HomeShield protections, create a separate IoT SSID and configure parental controls. If required, set up VPN client or server profiles in the app to provide secure remote connections for devices on the home network.

Recommendations

For best performance place Deco nodes in open areas with minimal obstructions, use wired 2.5 Gbps backhaul when possible, enable WPA3 and HomeShield features for enhanced security, and update firmware via the Deco app. To expand coverage, add additional Deco units; all Deco models are compatible.
