TL-SG105PP-M2 is an unmanaged 5-port desktop switch with four PoE++ ports and one additional 2.5G-capable port. It provides plug-and-play connectivity and can deliver power over Ethernet to IEEE 802.3af/at/bt compliant devices on ports 1–4. The multi-gig ports support auto-negotiation for 10Mbps/100Mbps/1Gbps/2.5Gbps to accommodate higher-bandwidth devices such as NAS, workstations, 2.5G Wi‑Fi 6 access points and 8K video sources.

How to use

Place the switch on a desk or mount it to the wall, connect your Ethernet cables to the RJ45 ports and plug in powered devices on ports 1–4 as needed. The switch is plug-and-play and requires no software configuration; it will automatically negotiate link speeds up to 2.5Gbps and detect IEEE 802.3af/at/bt devices to supply PoE power. Monitor device operation via connected equipment LEDs and connect higher-bandwidth devices to the 2.5G-capable ports for optimal throughput.

Recommendations

When total PoE power demand approaches the internal power budget, the switch applies port priority (port 1 > port 2 > port 3 > port 4) and will disable the lowest-priority port if necessary. To avoid unexpected power removal, assign critical devices to higher-priority ports and ensure the combined power draw of connected PDs does not exceed the available system power.
