The Aruba 2930F Switch Series is a Layer 3 access switch family designed for digital workplaces and mobile users. It delivers enterprise-edge performance with support for RIP and static routing, Access OSPF, 10GbE uplinks, up to 740W PoE+, robust QoS, and requires no software licensing. The series integrates with Aruba ClearPass Policy Manager, Aruba AirWave and cloud-based Aruba Central and supports Virtual Switching Framework (VSF) for stacking and simplified management.

How to use

Install the switch in the network edge or branch office rack and connect uplinks using the available 1GbE or 10GbE ports. Integrate with Aruba ClearPass, AirWave or Aruba Central for centralized policy and device management; when connected to Aruba access points, the switch can automatically apply PoE priority, VLAN configuration and rogue AP containment. Use VSF to stack up to eight switches into a single logical device for simplified management. Configure routing, QoS and security policies through the management platform or CLI according to site requirements.

Recommendations

Use Aruba ClearPass for unified wired/wireless policy enforcement, enable VSF when multiple units are deployed to simplify operations, and allocate sufficient PoE budget if powering several access points or IP devices.
