TWO THUNDERBOLT 4 TYPE-C® PORTS

USB WATTAGE WATCHER

SupremeFX
ROG SupremeFX is a unique blend of hardware and software technologies that provide superior audio. The Strix Z890-A implementation features the ALC4080 codec for high-resolution playback up to 32-bit/384 kHz across all channels. Front-panel output is streamed through the integrated Savitech amplifier that can drive high-fidelity acoustics to a wide variety of speakers and headsets.

A specially designed circuit separation reduces electromagnetic interference from the motherboard and attached devices for cleaner audio.

The integrated Hi-Fi Savitech amplifier holds up its end of the signal path with imperceptible levels of distortion at -90dB THD+N and a signal-to-noise ratio of 110dB for extremely clean output.

Instead of the conventional high definition audio (HDA) interface, the ALC4080 codec uses a USB interface to deliver studio-level sound reaching up to 32-bit 384 kHz audio resolution.

How to use

Install the motherboard into an ATX case and attach an LGA 1851-compatible CPU, DDR5 memory modules across the four DIMM slots, and required storage devices (M.2 and/or SATA SSDs/HDDs). Connect the PSU to the board’s main and CPU power connectors and attach cooling solutions to the CPU fan or AIO pump headers as needed. Configure BIOS settings to enable desired features such as AI Overclocking, NPU Boost, AEMP III or DIMM Flex for memory tuning, and set RAID arrays if applicable. Install the latest drivers and ASUS utilities (AI Advisor, Armoury Crate, network drivers) within the operating system to access advanced functions and monitoring tools.

Recommendations

Use certified DDR5 memory kits and update BIOS before applying aggressive overclocking or NPU Boost. Ensure adequate case airflow and attach the provided M.2 heatsinks and VRM cooling for sustained high performance.
