Acrylic adhesive STEINEL 70125 600 g

Strong hot-melt wood glue for challenging surfaces. STEINEL 70125 is a white acrylic hot-melt adhesive supplied in a 600 g stick format for use with compatible glue guns. The adhesive is formulated for high ageing resistance and temperature stability while retaining good low-temperature flexibility. At an application temperature of about 200°C it bonds wood, paper, coated paper, cardboard, rubber (including CR), leather, many metals and a range of plastics including ABS, melamine, PC, PET, Plexiglas®/PMMA, PS and PVC. The adhesive sets quickly and gives a firm hold within 15 seconds and a strong bond after approximately 60 seconds; drying times can vary with conditions.

How to use

Use the adhesive with a compatible hot-melt dispenser designed for 600 g sticks. Heat the dispenser to the recommended application temperature (about 200°C) and apply a continuous bead of adhesive to one of the surfaces. Press the parts together within the initial setting window; a firm hold appears within about 15 seconds and full handling strength after roughly 60 seconds. For porous substrates apply enough adhesive to ensure coverage; for smooth plastics use slightly larger beads and increase contact pressure for best results. Allow the joint to cool undisturbed to develop full bond strength.

Recommendations

Use the 4.5 mm long nozzle as specified for this acrylate adhesive. Observe the temperature limits and test on a sample when bonding heat-sensitive plastics or coated surfaces. Times and temperatures are guides and can vary with substrate, part geometry and dispenser settings.
