EK-Quantum Vector Strix RX 6800/6900 is a 2nd generation GPU water block from the EK® Quantum Line, designed specifically for ASUS ROG Strix RX 6800, 6800 XT and 6900 XT graphics cards built on AMD RDNA2 architecture. The block cools the GPU core, VRAM and the VRM by channeling coolant directly over these critical components. Its CNC-machined nickel-plated copper base and glass-like cast acrylic top provide reliable heat transfer and a durable, transparent housing. Pre-installed brass standoffs, EPDM O-rings and included mounting hardware simplify installation.

How to use

Power off the system and remove the graphics card from your PC. Follow the included mounting guide to replace the stock cooler: remove the factory heatsink, position the EK-Quantum Vector block onto the GPU so the pre-installed brass standoffs align with the card mounting points, and secure it with the supplied screws, nuts and washers. Connect the coolant fittings (G1/4") and ensure the D-RGB 3-pin connector arrow aligns with the +5V marking on your motherboard header. Reinstall the graphics card and perform a leak test before powering the system.

Recommendations

Use a compatible retention backplate for improved aesthetics and additional passive cooling for the GPU core and the backside VRM/VRAM areas. Use recommended high-quality coolant and follow standard loop-bleeding and leak-testing procedures; avoid mixing incompatible additives. Ensure the pump provides sufficient flow for your overall loop, though the block is optimized for low hydraulic restriction.
