This is the 2nd generation EK® Quantum Vector GPU water block made for ASUS® TUF GeForce RTX 3070 graphics cards based on NVIDIA® Ampere™ architecture. The block is CNC-machined from nickel-plated electrolytic copper for the base and glass-like cast acrylic for the top, providing direct liquid cooling to the GPU core, VRAM and VRM power stages. Pre-installed brass standoffs, EPDM O-rings and supplied mounting hardware ensure a secure installation, while the design dimensions and materials support efficient heat transfer and long-term reliability.

Advantages

The EK-Quantum Vector TUF 3070 D-RGB water block uses an Open Split-Flow cooling engine with an optimized jet plate and fin geometry to reduce hydrodynamic instabilities and vortexing, delivering even coolant distribution with low flow restriction. The terminal can be fastened directly to the copper cold plate for increased rigidity and reduced risk of damage. Integrated D-RGB lighting with eight individually addressable LEDs supports major motherboard RGB sync standards.

How to use

Disconnect power and remove the graphics card from the system before starting installation. Remove the factory cooler according to the card manufacturer’s instructions, clean the GPU die and VRAM contact areas, and apply the supplied thermal grease and pads where indicated. Align the water block with the PCB mounting points, secure it using the supplied screw-in brass standoffs and mounting hardware, and ensure all fittings are properly sealed. Connect the D-RGB cable with the arrow aligned to the +5V marking on the header. Install the graphics card back into the system and leak-test the loop before powering on.

Recommendations

Use a compatible retention backplate for improved passive cooling of the GPU core, VRAM and VRM backside, and verify pump flow and coolant compatibility. Perform a full leak test of the custom loop after installation and follow motherboard vendor guidance for D-RGB synchronization.
