VivoLink VLHDMIEXT3-R is a receiver unit designed to work with the VLHDMIEXT3-T transmitter to extend HDMI video, audio and IR control signals over a single Cat 6 network cable. The receiver supports up to 1080P@60 Hz and allows point-to-point extension up to 150 meters. Multiple receivers can be deployed on the same network when using a Gbit switch, with each receiver occupying approximately 18 Mbit/s of bandwidth. This device is not compatible with HDBaseT receivers.

How to use

Connect the VLHDMIEXT3-T transmitter to the HDMI source and link the transmitter to the VLHDMIEXT3-R receiver using a single Cat 6 cable. Provide power to the receiver either through PoE from a compatible switch or via the supplied USB-C to A cable. If multiple displays are required, connect the transmitter to a Gbit Ethernet switch and attach several VLHDMIEXT3-R receivers to the switch. Ensure the connected display is set to accept the incoming HDMI signal and place IR receiver/transmitter units where they can reliably receive and send remote control signals.

Recommendations

Use high-quality Cat 6 cable and a Gbit-rated switch for multi-receiver setups; avoid mixing HDBaseT equipment because this receiver is not compatible with HDBaseT systems.
