The DIGITUS AV transmitter & receiver 4K HDBaseT™ HDMI Extender Set enables uncompressed, high-resolution HDMI signal transmission over long distances using standard copper data cables. The set includes a transmitter and a receiver and supports transmission of Full HD up to 150 m and UHD 4K up to 120 m when used with Cat5e–Cat8/CAT6A–CAT8 cables. It supports resolutions up to 3840 x 2160 and a video bandwidth of 18 Gbps, and requires only one external power adapter thanks to Power over Cable (PoC).

How to use

Connect the HDMI source to the transmitter's HDMI input and run a suitable Cat5e–Cat8 cable between the transmitter RJ-45 output and the receiver RJ-45 input. Connect the receiver HDMI output to the display. If a local monitor is needed at the transmitter location, use the transmitter's HDMI loop-out. Provide power to one unit using the supplied external power adapter; PoC will power the other unit over the cable. Configure RS232 or IR control as required for remote device control.

Recommendations

Use high-quality shielded Cat6A or Cat7/8 cable for optimal 4K/60Hz performance and reliable HDR support; verify cable terminations and avoid running the cable alongside high-voltage lines to reduce interference.
