The kit includes a transmitter (TX) and receiver (RX) designed for professional AV environments and supports both singlemode and multimode fiber connections when used with compatible SFP modules.

How to use

Connect the HDMI source to the transmitter HDMI IN and, if required, connect a local monitor to the transmitter HDMI loop-out. Insert compatible SFP modules into the transmitter and receiver and connect them with the appropriate singlemode or multimode fiber cable. Power both units using their 5 V supplies. Use a 1G switch or direct fiber link for point-to-point transmission; cascade additional extenders via 1G network switches to extend distance. The receiver outputs the HDMI signal to the display and can send remote IR commands back to the source through the IR interface.

Recommendations

For guaranteed performance at maximum distances, use recommended SFP modules (DN-81002 for singlemode, DN-81000 for multimode) and high-quality fiber cabling. When deploying in larger AV networks, plan switch capacity and cascading points to maintain 1G throughput and minimize latency.
