The Apricorn Aegis Secure Key 3z is a hardware-encrypted USB flash drive with 16 GB capacity, USB Type-A interface and USB 3.2 Gen 1 performance. How to use

Enter your 7–16 digit User PIN on the onboard keypad before connecting the Secure Key to a USB port. Once unlocked, connect the drive to a computer, tablet or mobile device using the USB Type-A connector to access encrypted files at USB 3.2 Gen 1 speeds. Administrators can set independent Admin PINs and configure devices with Aegis Configurator for batch provisioning. If a User PIN is forgotten, use an Admin PIN or a programmed recovery PIN to regain access, or perform a drive reset to destroy data and generate a new encryption key.

Recommendations

Store Admin PINs and recovery PINs securely and provision devices using the Aegis Configurator for large deployments. Enable unattended auto-lock and, when sharing data in public settings, consider using the read-only modes to prevent accidental modification.
