The NOYAFA NF-488 identifies whether your switch is supplying Power over Ethernet (802.3af/at) and quickly verifies cable integrity on the same device. Instead of carrying multiple tools, you get a pocket-sized tester that detects standard and non-standard PoE, measures voltage, current and power, and checks RJ45 cabling for continuity, shorts, opens, crosses and length.

Tips

For accurate cable length tests, terminate the cable with a known-good remote end or use a separate loopback adapter if available. Always remove power from the network before connecting the tester to non-PoE cable pairs, and check the tester’s battery level before long shifts.
