The DICOTA Stand-alone Pro Key notebook security lock (D30867) secures laptops, projectors, printers and monitors using an integrated rubber bumper that fits most standard lock slots. The lock features a 2.0 m steel cable with a 5.2 mm diameter for extended reach and increased strength, a rotatable and tiltable lockhead, and comes with two flat keys. This standalone lock cannot be connected to a master lock system.

How to use

Thread the cable around a fixed, immovable object and insert the lock head into the device's standard security slot until it engages. Use the push-to-lock function to secure without key when applicable or insert the flat key and turn to lock. Keep the spare key in a safe place. To unlock, insert the key and turn, or follow the reverse procedure of the push-to-lock mechanism.

Recommendations

For optimal security, attach the cable to a heavy, immovable anchor point and check that the rubber bumper sits flush against the device case.
