The ACT Wedge Laptop Lock AC9035 secures laptops that have a Wedge security slot (3.2 x 4.5 mm). The lock features a 2 m cut-resistant steel cable with a metallic finish and a pivoting, rotatable cable head for flexible placement. The combination mechanism uses a user-settable 4-digit code with 10,000 possible combinations.

How to use

Insert the wedge head into the device's Wedge slot (3.2 x 4.5 mm) and secure the cable around or through a fixed object such as a table leg, wall anchor or radiator. Set your preferred 4-digit code following the included instructions and scramble the dials to lock. To unlock, enter your chosen code and release the head. The rotatable cable head and pivot allow easier positioning when routing the cable.

Recommendations

For best protection, attach the cable to an immovable object and periodically check the cable and locking head for signs of wear. The lock provides a theft-deterrent; it does not make the device invulnerable to determined forced attack. Keep your chosen code in a safe place and change it if you suspect it has been compromised.
