The Noctua NF-A9x14 PWM is a 92×14 mm low-profile cooling fan designed for space-constrained PC builds and low-profile CPU coolers. It features Noctua’s AAO frame, Flow Acceleration Channels and a custom PWM IC with Smooth Commutation Drive for automatic, quiet speed control. The fan uses SSO2 bearings for long-term stability, comes with modular sleeved cabling, a Low-Noise Adaptor and is intended for 12 V systems.

How to use

Mount the NF-A9x14 in the required orientation using standard fan screws or compatible clips, taking advantage of the integrated anti-vibration pads to minimise transmitted vibrations. Connect the 4-pin PWM connector to a compatible motherboard fan header for automatic speed control. Use the supplied 30 cm extension if additional reach is needed and the Y-cable to run a second fan from the same header. To reduce maximum speed and noise, attach the included Low-Noise Adaptor (L.N.A.).

Recommendations

For optimal results in compact systems, place the fan where airflow paths are least obstructed and configure PWM curves in BIOS or fan-control software to balance cooling and noise. Regularly check mounting and cable routing to maintain vibration isolation and airflow efficiency.
