The Noctua NF-A20 5V PWM is a 200 mm (20 cm) PWM-capable cooling fan designed for 5V applications that require precise speed control. It combines Noctua’s Advanced Acoustic Optimisation (AAO) frame, Flow Acceleration Channels and a customised PWM IC with Smooth Commutation Drive to provide efficient airflow, low noise and long-term stability. The fan includes an OmniJoin™ adaptor set, a USB power adaptor cable and a fully sleeved extension cable, and is covered by a 6-year manufacturer’s warranty.

How to use

Connect the fan to a compatible 5V PWM header or use the included USB power adaptor cable for USB power sources. If the target device has a proprietary fan connector, cut the original cable and use the supplied OmniJoin™ adaptor set with the 3M Scotchlok™ connectors to attach the NF-A20 5V PWM. Mount the fan using standard screws or compatible mounting systems; the integrated anti-vibration pads are compatible with standard screw fittings.

Recommendations

For optimal results, use PWM control where available to adjust speed between 350 and 800 RPM according to cooling needs. When connecting to proprietary headers, verify pin alignment before finalising the connection; the fan includes polarity protection to prevent damage in case of reverse connection.
