Networking Cable Goobay 95518 RJ-45 Cat6 5m Black

The Goobay 95518 networking cable is a 5 m Cat6 patch cable designed for fast, stable wired network connections. It features S/FTP shielding to reduce interference and RJ‑45 connectors with gold plating for reliable contact and good conductivity. The cable supports 10/100/1000Base‑T(X) and enables data transfer speeds up to 1000 Mbit/s, making it suitable for home and office Ethernet installations.

Advantages

S/FTP shielding improves signal integrity by protecting individual pairs and the overall cable from electromagnetic interference. Gold‑plated RJ‑45 connectors ensure low contact resistance and consistent performance. The Cat6 specification and robust sheathing provide a balance of speed and durability for typical networking environments.

Suitable for

• Connecting PCs, laptops and network equipment to routers and switches
• Home and small office Ethernet installations
• High-speed data transfer and streaming within local networks

Key specifications

• Cable length: 5 m
• Standard: Cat6
• Shielding: S/FTP
• Connectors: RJ‑45 — both ends, gold plated
• Cabling technology: 10/100/1000Base‑T(X)
• Maximum data rate: 1000 Mbit/s
• Colour: Black

How to use

Connect one RJ‑45 connector to your network device (PC, switch or router) and the other end to the corresponding port on the opposite device. Ensure connectors click into place to confirm a secure connection. Route the cable without sharp bends and avoid running it parallel to high‑voltage power cables to reduce possible interference.

Recommendations

For reliable performance, use the cable within typical indoor temperature ranges, avoid excessive mechanical stress, and replace the cable if connector contacts or the jacket show visible damage.
