How to use

Place the RE220 between your router and the area that requires better Wi‑Fi coverage. For setup, press the WPS button on your router and then on the RE220 to connect automatically; if your router does not support WPS, use the TP‑Link Tether mobile app or the extender’s web UI to configure network settings. After initial setup, relocate the extender to an optimal position guided by the smart signal indicator light to achieve the best coverage.

Recommendations

For best results, position the extender within range of your existing router’s signal but close enough to the target area. Use High Speed Mode when you need to prioritise maximum bandwidth to devices connected to the extender. Keep firmware up to date via the Tether app or web interface and avoid placing the unit near large metal objects or sources of interference.
