How to use

Insert an active SIM card into the Deco X50-5G and power on the unit; the device will establish a 5G connection and provide internet access over WiFi and Ethernet. Install the Deco app on a smartphone to complete setup, configure network name and password, manage connected devices, and enable HomeShield features such as parental controls and QoS. For wired connections, use the 2.5 Gigabit port for high-throughput devices and configure the second Ethernet port as a backup broadband access if needed. If better 5G/4G reception is required, connect an external antenna to the antenna ports following the antenna manufacturer’s instructions.

Recommendations

Place Deco units centrally and at elevated positions to maximize mesh coverage and minimize obstacles; use the Deco app to run placement tests and enable Smart Roaming for uninterrupted connectivity. For optimal 5G performance, verify SIM compatibility with your carrier and consider external antenna placement if indoor signal strength is weak.
