The Noctua NM-M1-MP83 is an enthusiast-grade multi-socket SecuFirm2+™ mounting kit for CPU coolers with an 83 mm mounting pitch. It enables users to upgrade or migrate compatible Noctua coolers to modern Torx®-based SecuFirm2+™ fittings and supports a broad range of desktop platforms, including AMD AM5 & AM4 and Intel LGA1851, LGA1700, LGA1200 and LGA115x. The kit includes Noctua’s magnetic-tip NM-SD1 Torx® T20 screwdriver and offers integrated fastening brackets, coil-spring pressure screws and an AM5 offset mounting option that can improve thermal contact and reduce CPU temperatures by about 1–3°C in typical scenarios.

How to use

Verify that your heatsink uses an 83 mm mounting pitch and consult Noctua’s compatibility information before installation. Fit the tailor-made AMD or Intel parts for your socket, use the integrated fastening brackets with their pre-fixed springs and tighten screws using the included NM-SD1 Torx® T20 screwdriver until the coil springs compress evenly to achieve correct contact pressure. For AM5 systems, install the offset mounting bars if improved contact over the Core Complex Die(s) is desired. The Torx® drive minimizes cam-out and simplifies tightening, especially in space-restricted environments.

Recommendations

Only use this kit with heatsinks that have an 83 mm mounting pitch; for 78 mm pitch coolers select the NM-M1-MP78 kit.
