PLANET WGS-4215-8HP2S is an industrial wall-mount managed PoE++ switch designed for compact, space-limited installations. It provides IPv4/IPv6 dual-stack management, advanced L2+/L4 switching, eight Gigabit copper ports with mixed high-power PoE output and two Gigabit TP/SFP combo slots. Housed in an IP30 metal chassis and rated to operate from -40 to 75 °C, the switch offers a total PoE power budget up to 360 W to support a range of powered devices in industrial and commercial networks.

How to use

Install the switch using the front-access wall-mount points inside an enclosure or on a flat wall surface to allow easy cabling and LED monitoring. Connect network devices to the Gigabit ports or SFP slots as required, configure IP management (IPv4/IPv6), set VLANs, QoS and security policies through the Web interface or CLI, and choose the appropriate PoE output mode for connected powered devices. Use SNMPv3 for encrypted remote management and monitor PoE usage, PD status and SFP diagnostics during operation.

Recommendations

For reliable operation in surveillance and industrial scenarios, select the PoE output mode that matches device power requirements and enable PD alive check and scheduled power recycling to automatically reset unresponsive devices. Place the unit in a ventilated enclosure and use appropriate SFP transceivers for required fiber distance.
