How to use

Install the GS-6311-24HP4X in a standard 19-inch rack and connect uplink fiber or copper to the SFP+ or RJ-45 ports. Connect PoE cameras, access points or VoIP phones to the RJ-45 ports; the switch will supply power automatically according to PoE standards. Configure network settings using the web-based GUI, console or SSH/Telnet for CLI access. Set up VLANs, Layer 3 routes, QoS/WRR and ACLs as required, and deploy RIP or OSPF if dynamic routing between subnets is needed.

Recommendations

For reliable PoE operation, plan PoE power allocation per port according to device requirements and keep the total connected PoE load within the 480 W budget. Use the PoE schedule and PD alive-check features to reduce power consumption and automatically reset unresponsive devices.
