How to use

Install the switch in a suitable 19" rack or place it on a stable surface with adequate ventilation. Connect Ethernet devices using Cat5e or Cat6 cables to the RJ-45 ports; compatible 802.3af/at devices will receive power automatically from the corresponding ports. Use the two SFP slots to add fibre uplinks with the appropriate SFP modules. Access the web management interface to configure VLANs, QoS, port aggregation and SNMP settings, and to monitor port status and PoE power allocation.

Recommendations

Plan PoE power distribution according to the 240 W total budget; assign higher-power devices to ports while monitoring per-port and total power usage. For non-802.3af/at legacy devices, use a compatible PoE splitter. Regularly update firmware and configure SNMP or monitoring tools to track performance and prevent overloads.
