The PLANET SGS-6310-8P4X is a managed Layer 3 gigabit Ethernet switch with 8 IEEE 802.3at PoE+ RJ45 ports and 4 1G/10G SFP+ uplink ports in a 1U fanless chassis. It provides a 128 Gbps switch fabric, Layer 3 routing (static, RIP, OSPF), ERPS ring protection, IPv6 support and advanced Layer 2–Layer 4 traffic control. The switch integrates PLANET UNI-NMS and NMSViewerPro solutions for centralized and remote network and power management, and supports SFP DDM for transceiver monitoring. It accepts DC input in the range 36–72 V and is intended for enterprise, service provider and industrial deployments requiring PoE power and 10Gbps uplinks.

How to use

Install the SGS-6310-8P4X in a standard 1U rack or place it on a flat surface for fanless operation. Connect powered devices to the RJ45 PoE ports and uplink to aggregation or core switches using SFP/SFP+ transceivers selected for required distance and speed (1G/10G). Use the web GUI or CLI for initial configuration: set VLANs, port aggregation, Layer 3 routing (static, RIP or OSPF) and ERPS or MSTP for redundancy.
