Line level Makita SK105DZ

The Makita SK105DZ is a compact cordless line level designed for accurate leveling, aligning and plumbing tasks on job sites. Equipped with Makita Extreme Protection Technology (XPT™), the SK105DZ features integrated seals that help channel away dust and water for improved durability and longer tool life. The self-leveling cross-line red beam laser provides up to 25 m (82 ft) visible line range in typical ambient light and is detectable up to 80 m (262 ft) with a compatible Makita laser detector (sold separately). The SK105DZ produces bright 635 nm Class II red beams with an accuracy of ±3 mm/m (±1/8" at 33') and offers a 180° horizontal line and 160° vertical line coverage. Self-leveling stability is achieved in approximately 3 seconds. The tool runs on the 12V max CXT® platform and accepts 12V max CXT® batteries for extended runtime; it also supports use with an 18V LXT® battery via Makita power adapter accessories (sold separately).

How to use

Place the SK105DZ on a stable surface or mount it on a tripod, switch the unit on and allow it to self-level. Once the unit has leveled (approximately 3 seconds), use the horizontal or vertical cross lines for your alignment or plumbing tasks. For extended range in bright conditions, pair the laser with a Makita laser detector. Replace or recharge the 12V max CXT® battery as needed—an 18V LXT® battery may be used with the appropriate Makita adapter accessories (sold separately).

Recommendations

For optimal durability on construction sites, keep the unit and seals free of heavy debris and use Makita-approved batteries and adapters. When working outdoors or in bright ambient light, use a Makita laser detector to extend detectability of the laser line.
