Lindy 10m Active DisplayPort 1.2 Cable

Lindy Active DisplayPort 1.2 cable provides reliable long-distance DisplayPort transmission by using an integrated active chipset. The chipset amplifies the DP signal inside the cable, enabling extended runs without external repeaters. The cable features a compact central housing and a flexible, high-quality sheath designed for discreet installations through conduits or behind walls. It supports DisplayPort 1.2 sources such as PCs and commercial displays, delivering video and multi-channel audio over a single connection.

Advantages

The active design allows much longer transmission distances compared with standard passive DP cables, removing the need for separate extenders. Bi-directional capability simplifies connections and reduces compatibility issues common to unidirectional active cables. The cable supports 4K at 60 Hz, 8-channel audio and the REC.2020 colour space for improved contrast and a wider colour gamut. A slim headshell and flexible cable jacket make it suitable for installations where the cable must be routed through conduits or hidden behind walls.

Key specifications

• Standard: DisplayPort 1.2
• Maximum resolution: 4K (3840×2160) at 60 Hz
• Audio: up to 8-channel audio
• Colour space: REC.2020 support
• Active chipset: integrated in cable centre
• Directionality: bi-directional

How to use

Connect one end of the cable to the DisplayPort source (for example a PC) and the other end to the display. Ensure connectors are fully seated in the DP ports. Because the cable is bi-directional, no specific connector orientation is required beyond standard DisplayPort source-to-display connection. Route the cable through conduits or behind walls as needed, taking care to avoid sharp bends near the central housing.

Recommendations

Note that this cable does not support daisy-chain functionality with Lenovo displays. For best results, verify display firmware compatibility and avoid excessive cable tension or tight bends near the active chipset.
