The Intellinet Gigabit PoE+ Media Converter 508216 enables simple migration from copper Ethernet to fibre while supplying up to 30 W of power to compatible devices. Compact and metal‑housed, the converter provides one 1000Base‑T RJ45 port and one SFP fibre port, supports Gigabit Ethernet data rates (1000/100/10 Mbit/s) and a maximum fibre link distance up to 120000 m. It is transparent to existing networks and suitable for desktop, wall or rack chassis installation.

How to use

Install the SFP module appropriate for your fibre type and insert it into the SFP slot. Connect the copper device or switch to the RJ45 port with a Cat5e/Cat6 cable and connect the fibre link to the SFP. Power the converter with the specified 56 V input supply. The converter will pass network traffic transparently while supplying PoE power to a compatible powered device on the RJ45 port.
