Freestanding rack EFB Elektronik PRO-4288GR.G1S1

The EFB Elektronik PRO-4288GR.G1S1 is a freestanding 19" rack cabinet with 42U capacity and an 800 mm width and depth. Constructed from steel sheet with a screwed frame, the cabinet is delivered completely pre-assembled and features self-ventilation, detachable side panels and a light grey RAL7035 finish. The unit includes front and rear 19" profiles (4 total, galvanised and depth-adjustable), a framed front door with 5 mm certified safety glass and a full-height steel rear door. Doors are lockable with a 3-point turning handle (1-point up to 24U) and supplied with a profile half-cylinder (30/10 mm) exchangeable by the customer.

How to use

Position the freestanding rack on a level surface and adjust the levelling feet for stability. Remove detachable side panels to access the interior and fit equipment on the galvanised 19" profiles, which are step-less depth-adjustable to accommodate different device depths. Route cables through the pre-punched openings in the roof or bottom; for the 800 mm width use the rear and roof entries as required. Install fan or filter modules in the roof cutouts if additional ventilation or filtered airflow is needed. Ensure the profile half-cylinder lock is orientated correctly after installation; it can be exchanged by the customer if necessary.

Recommendations

For safe operation, distribute equipment weight evenly across the rack, secure heavy devices towards the lower U positions, and maintain proper earthing using the supplied earthing bar and cables. Use the pre-punched cable entries and available fan slots to manage airflow and avoid blocking ventilation paths. The cabinet is rated IP20 and intended for indoor environments only.
