The Marmitek MegaView 63 is an AV transmitter and receiver set that lets you view HDMI sources elsewhere in your home or office on a TV or projection screen in Full HD quality. The compact kit includes one transmitter and one receiver and supports common video resolutions up to 1080p, including 3D. It extends an HDMI connection over a single CAT5e/CAT6 cable up to 40 metres while preserving image quality and without compression.

How to use

Connect the MegaView transmitter to your HDMI source and provide USB power to the transmitter from the source device or a USB power supply. Run a single CAT5e or CAT6 cable from the transmitter to the receiver placed near the remote TV or projector. Connect the receiver to the display via HDMI. The receiver receives power through the CAT cable using PoC, so no separate power socket is required at the display location. Verify that source and display settings match the supported resolution and that HDCP-protected content is supported by both devices.

Recommendations

For reliable performance, use good-quality CAT5e or CAT6 cable installed without sharp bends and keep cable runs within the specified maximum length. If the HDMI source or display requires a specific resolution, set that resolution on the source device. When transmitting HDCP-protected content, ensure connected devices support HDCP 1.4.
