The Marmitek IR 100 USB is a compact infrared extender that enables control of AV equipment placed out of sight, for example a media player or Apple TV mounted behind a television. The kit consists of a small IR receiver and an IR blaster (IR transmitter) connected by a 1 m cable and powered via USB for easy integration into existing setups.

How to use

Place the small IR receiver where it can receive signals from your remote control and position the IR blaster so it faces the front of the hidden AV equipment or inside the compartment. Connect the unit to a USB power source. Point your remote at the receiver and operate your device as usual; the blaster transmits the commands to the concealed equipment.

For reliable operation, place the tiny IR receiver in an unobstructed location with a clear path from the remote. Ensure the IR blaster is positioned close to the front panel of the hidden device for best signal transmission. Use a powered USB port on the TV or a USB power adapter if necessary.
