The Lindy 150m Cat.6 TosLink (Optical) and Coaxial Digital Audio Extender is a high-quality solution for extending digital audio signals over long distances, using standard network cable. With TosLink (Optical) and coaxial inputs and outputs, this extender can be easily used with a variety of AV source devices including TVs and amplifiers, with speakers or soundbars located at the receiver side.Connected audio can be output simultaneously to provide splitting functionality from a single input, great for smaller audio broadcasting setups in underground railway stations, bus depots or medical facilities. This also allows simple conversion of TosLink and Coaxial signals into their opposing output.

Supporting both stereo and multi-channel audio extension, this extender will allow for impressive three-dimensional surround sound performance to compliment films and games when connected to the audio source device, as well as crystal clear speech from user generated audio. How to use

Connect the digital audio source to the transmitter using either the TosLink optical cable or a coaxial S/PDIF cable. Run a Cat5e or Cat6 cable between the transmitter RJ-45 port and the receiver RJ-45 port up to 150 m. Power the transmitter with the supplied 12 V DC adapter; the receiver will receive power via PoC over the Cat cable. Connect the receiver outputs to speakers, soundbars or an amplifier using TosLink or coaxial cables as required. Ensure source sample rates match when using simultaneous outputs.

Recommendations

For best performance use quality shielded Cat6 cable and avoid running audio cable parallel to high-voltage power lines. Verify that connected devices support the desired multi-channel formats and matching sample rates (96 kHz) if you require simultaneous TosLink and coaxial outputs.
