ASUS TUF Gaming VG249Q3A computer monitor 60.5 cm (23.8 inch) 1920 x 1080 pixels Full HD LCD Black

The ASUS TUF Gaming VG249Q3A is a 23.8-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080) IPS gaming monitor designed for responsive, competitive play. It delivers a 180 Hz refresh rate, 1 ms (GtG) response time and supports AMD FreeSync™ Premium to reduce tearing and stutter. The panel covers approximately 99% of the sRGB gamut and includes ASUS Extreme Low Motion Blur (ELMB) and Variable Overdrive technologies for clearer motion and adaptive overdrive behavior. The monitor features a flat 23.8" IPS LCD, built-in speakers and VESA mounting compatibility.

Advantages

The monitor’s 180 Hz refresh rate and 1 ms (GtG) response time reduce input lag and motion blur for fast-paced games. AMD FreeSync™ Premium provides smoother, tear-free visuals while ASUS ELMB sharpens moving objects to improve perceived clarity. Variable Overdrive automatically adjusts overdrive according to frame-rate fluctuations, maintaining optimal image quality across different titles. Its Full HD IPS panel offers wide viewing angles and accurate color reproduction suitable for gaming and general multimedia.

How to use

Connect the monitor to your PC or console using the available video input (use the highest-bandwidth cable supported by your GPU to achieve 180 Hz). Enable AMD FreeSync™ Premium in both the monitor OSD and your graphics driver if supported. Use the monitor OSD to switch between ELMB and other modes as needed; ELMB is effective at reducing blur but may interact with some adaptive-sync settings, so test combinations for best results. Adjust brightness, contrast and color settings in the OSD to match your environment.

Recommendations

For competitive gaming, run games at high frame rates and enable FreeSync and ELMB where compatible. If you experience visual artifacts when combining ELMB with variable refresh technologies, try toggling Variable Overdrive or ELMB in the OSD to find the best balance between clarity and smoothness.
