How to use

Connect one RJ45 end to the network switch or patch panel and the other end to the device or patch point. Route the slimline cable through cable managers or vertical managers, observing the reduced bending radius to avoid damaging the conductor. For installation in patch panels and dense bundles, align cables to maintain orderly runs and allow airflow.

Recommendations

Although ISO/IEC and TIA standards recommend 22–26 AWG patch cords, this slimline CAT6 uses a thinner 28 AWG conductor which leads to higher attenuation, especially at higher frequencies. ACT recommends shorter permanent link lengths compared with standard 24 AWG patch cords. For PoE installations limit bundle sizes to a maximum of 24 cables to reduce temperature rise; follow ANSI TSB-184-A guidance to keep the centre-cable temperature increase under 15 °C above ambient.
