ACT Brown 10 meter LSZH U/FTP CAT6A datacenter slimline patch cable snagless with RJ45 connectors

The ACT Brown 10m LSZH U/FTP CAT6A Slimline Patch Cable Snagless is a 10-meter slim-diameter Ethernet patch cord designed for datacenter and network cabinet use. It uses U/FTP shielding and meets CAT6A performance expectations for high-speed data transmission. The slimline design (approx. 3.8 mm diameter) reduces cable bulk and improves airflow within server racks compared with regular CAT6A patch cords.

Advantages

The slim 3.8 mm diameter cable allows denser cable routing and better cooling in rack environments. LSZH jacket material reduces smoke and eliminates halogens for safer indoor deployment. Snagless RJ45 connectors with gold-plated contacts provide reliable connectivity and reduce contact corrosion. U/FTP construction improves immunity to external interference while keeping the cable flexible for tight bends.

Suitable for

• Interconnecting servers, switches, and patch panels in datacenters
• High-density network cabinets and telecom racks where space and airflow are critical
• Indoor network installations requiring low-smoke, halogen-free materials

How to use

Plug each RJ45 connector into the corresponding network ports on devices such as switches, patch panels, or servers, ensuring the latch clicks into place. Route the cable along cable managers or through rack pathways to maintain airflow and avoid sharp bends; the slimline cable supports smaller bending radii but still should not be kinked. For best performance, avoid excessive bundling with unshielded cables and follow your datacenter’s cabling layout standards.

Recommendations

While industry standards typically reference 22–28 AWG for patch cords, this slimline product uses thinner conductors (commonly 32 AWG in slim cables), which can increase attenuation at higher frequencies. Use these slimline CAT6A cables where space savings and improved airflow are priorities, and where cable lengths and link budgets account for the slightly higher attenuation.
