ACT AV media extender set with dual USB-C switch, CAT6A, 100 meters

The AC7110 USB-C HDBaseT data extender set is an all-in-one solution for extending USB-C, data and 4K video over distances of up to 100 meters via a single network cable. This extender set incorporates the Valens chipset for lossless USB-C data transfer. The DisplayLink chipset in the receiver generates lossless video on two 4K@60Hz HDMI monitors. Connect up to two host devices, e.g. laptops, to the transmitter and switch between both devices. The active laptop can extend its desktop to two additional monitors, providing a total of three views (one laptop screen and two external monitors).

USB-C extension over long distances using the Valens VS6320 chipset and HDBaseT technology
Extending USB-C over short distances is challenging, and extending it up to 100 meters is nearly impossible without the right technology. To address this challenge, ACT has integrated the Valens chipset. This dedicated chipset provides a stabile solution for USB-C extension challenges.

The AC7110 is using the Valens VS6320 chipset and fully supports the HDBaseT standard. This standard ensures reliable transmission of data signals over a single CAT6A cable for distances up to 100 meters, without loss or degradation.

Connect a conference camera or external storage (e.g., an SSD) to the receiver unit, which can be located on the other side of the room or even in another part of the office.

For the best connection between the transmitter and receiver, we recommend using our pre-terminated CAT6A S/FTP installation cables. These cables are available in lengths up to 90 meters and are HDBaseT compliant.

DisplayLink DL-6950 chipset for extending 4K@60Hz video
The transmitter unit uses the Valens VS6320 chipset, while the receiver uses the DisplayLink DL-6950 chipset. This DisplayLink chipset generates video from the extended data. The receiver has two HDMI ports, both supporting 4K@60Hz resolution.

The AC7110 includes the DisplayLink chipset and extends your device’s desktop to two additional views. This provides in total three distinct views: one laptop screen and two external monitors.

Another advantage of this chipset is its compatibility with both Windows and macOS devices. The DisplayLink Manager driver is included with Windows, while Apple users must download the latest driver from the ACT Connectivity website.

HDBaseT
HDBaseT enables the transmission of lossless data signals, bidirectional control signals, and power over distances of up to 100 meters via a single network cable.

Power over Cable support via CAT
The USB-C extender set supports bidirectional Power over Cable (PoC). This means either the transmitter or receiver unit can be powered, with the other unit receiving power via the CAT cable. If the power supply is connected to the transmitter, the receiver is powered via the CAT cable, and vice versa. Ideal for situations where only a limited number of power sockets are available.

100W Power Delivery for powering the connected laptops
The transmitter unit of the AC7110 supports 100W Power Delivery for the connect USB-C host laptops. When the power adapter is connected to the transmitter unit, the connected USB-C laptop will be charged with up to 100W of power. If two laptops are connected, the power is divided into two times 50W PD.

Peripheral sharing: USB hub over a long distance
Together, the transmitter and receiver units provide 6 additional USB ports: 2x USB-C and 4x USB-A. Connect USB accessories/peripherals (e.g., a keyboard, mouse, conference speaker, conference camera, or USB memory devices) to the transmitter and receiver unit.

The active host computer can access all connected peripherals. When switching to the other host device, it can also access al connected peripherals.

FSYNC GPIO pass-through
The AC7110 supports FSYNC GPIO pass-through, enabling frame-synchronization signals to be sent from the host PC to a conference camera located across the room or elsewhere in the building. This ensures reliable timing synchronization between the host and the connected camera.

Detachable mounting brackets
The set includes optional mounting brackets for convenient under-desk or wall installation.
