The Zyxel WAC500H is a dual-band access point (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz) designed for per-room deployment. It provides up to 1200 Mbit/s combined wireless throughput, three Gigabit Ethernet ports and Power over Ethernet (PoE) for simplified installation and the ability to power devices such as VoIP phones. The AP supports security standards including EAP, SNMP, WEP, WPA, WPA2-Enterprise, WPA2-PSK and WPA3 and can operate as a wall/outlet-mounted unit, desktop device or mounted on an outlet box.

How to use

Install the WAC500H on an outlet box, wall plate or desktop using the supplied mounting hardware. Connect the uplink to a PoE switch or injector to power the unit and provide network access via one of the Gigabit Ethernet ports. Configure the device via the local web management interface, an on‑premises Zyxel controller, or register it to the Nebula cloud platform (first‑year Nebula license included) depending on your management preference.

Recommendations

For optimal performance place the AP where it has minimal obstructions to client devices, use PoE from a compatible 802.3at/af switch or injector for power, and choose Nebula cloud management for centralised monitoring in multi‑site deployments.
