How to use

Install the switch in a standard 19-inch rack or on a flat surface following the mounting instructions from Zyxel. Connect Gigabit devices to the access ports and use the four 10GbE uplinks for aggregation to core routers or servers. Enable PoE+ on ports intended to power IP phones, cameras or access points and configure Layer 2/Layer 3 policies via the web interface. Monitor port status, traffic statistics and PoE consumption through the built-in management pages.

Recommendations

Place the switch in a ventilated equipment rack and use quality SFP+/RJ45 modules and cables for 10GbE links. Apply VLANs and QoS policies for segmented traffic and predictable performance; ensure firmware is kept up to date to maintain security and feature compatibility.
