How to use

Place the repeater roughly halfway between your router and the area with poor signal, using the front LEDs or the FRITZ!App WLAN to fine‑tune the location. For automatic setup, press the WPS button on the router and the repeater to complete registration; alternatively, use the web interface or mobile app for manual configuration and Mesh integration. To connect wired devices, plug an Ethernet cable into the Gigabit LAN port; the unit can also operate as a LAN bridge when connected to an existing network cable or powerline adapter. Keep the device firmware updated via FRITZ!OS to receive improvements and security updates.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, install the FRITZ!Repeater 2400 in a location with a strong line to the router but close enough to the coverage gap; use the FRITZ!App WLAN to check signal strength and prefer the 5 GHz band for high‑bandwidth activities while using the 2.4 GHz band for broader coverage and legacy devices.
