The Ubiquiti NSM2 (NanoStation M2) is an indoor/outdoor airMAX CPE designed for long-range wireless connectivity on the 2.4 GHz band. With an integrated 11.2 dBi panel antenna and 2x2 MIMO, it delivers up to 150+ Mbps real outdoor throughput and supports links beyond 15 km in favorable conditions. The compact, weather-resistant enclosure and dual-Ethernet ports with software-enabled PoE output make the NSM2 suitable for Point-to-MultiPoint (PtMP) CPE deployments, Point-to-Point (PtP) bridging, and powering external PoE devices such as IP cameras.

How to use

Mount the NSM2 using the supplied window/wall mount or universal arm bracket for pole mounting; only a single wrench is required for pole installation. Connect the primary Ethernet port to a PoE power source and configure network settings via airOS. Position and aim the panel antenna toward the base station or remote unit for best signal; use the 180° vertical/horizontal adjustment on the window mount or 90° tilt on the arm bracket to fine-tune alignment. If powering an external PoE device, enable the software PoE output on the secondary Ethernet port.

Recommendations

Install the NSM2 at a clear line-of-sight location, elevated and away from large obstructions for optimal range. Use the appropriate mount for stable alignment, and verify country-specific regulatory settings in airOS before operation.
