Water block Alphacool Eisblock XPX Aurora Pro

The Alphacool Eisblock XPX Aurora Pro is a high-performance CPU water block designed for processors with very large cores, including AMD Threadripper and Intel CPUs for LGA 2066 and LGA 3647 (narrow ILM). The block combines a nickel-plated copper contact surface with an acrylic top and an aluminium LED frame, and includes integrated addressable aRGB illumination compatible with 3-pin 5V headers.

Advantages

The cooler base is optimized for large processor dies, providing a contact area of 42 x 58.6 mm and 147 cooling fins to increase heat transfer. The base is made of nickel-plated copper to take advantage of copper’s higher thermal conductivity. How to use

Before installation, remove the protective film from the copper base. Apply a small amount of the enclosed thermal paste to the CPU heatspreader. Position the water block over the CPU and fasten it using the supplied knurled mounting screws; depending on the mounting variant the screws may be fitted before or after placing the block. No tools are required for final tightening thanks to the knurled screw heads.

Recommendations

Ensure your motherboard has a 3-pin 5V aRGB header for direct LED control; otherwise use a compatible controller. If chaining multiple Aurora devices, use the included Y-adapter and add extension cables only if needed to reach all components. Regularly inspect fittings and coolant for leaks or contamination and follow your loop maintenance schedule.
