Connect peripherals to your laptop, tablet, PC or smartphone via a single USB-C / Thunderbolt 3 adapter that expands connectivity with HDMI video output, two USB 3.0 ports and a USB-C Power Delivery/data port. The adapter supports 4K Ultra HD video up to 3840×2160@30Hz and stereo audio, while providing high-speed USB data transfer and the ability to charge compatible devices through the USB-C PD port.

Advantages

The adapter provides a compact and lightweight solution to add HDMI output and extra USB-A ports to devices with a USB-C connector. It supports 4K@30Hz HDMI video and stereo sound, two USB 3.0 ports with up to 5 Gbps transfer speed, and a USB-C port that supplies Power Delivery charging and enables data transfer. Drivers are installed automatically by the operating system on first connection.

Suitable for

• Connecting an external HDMI monitor, projector or TV (up to 3840×2160@30Hz)
• Attaching USB-A peripherals such as external drives, mice or keyboards (USB 3.0/3.1/2.0)
• Charging laptops, tablets or smartphones via USB-C Power Delivery while using other ports
• Using with laptops and tablets that have USB-C or Thunderbolt 3 ports (e.g. MacBook Pro 2016, MacBook 2015, Dell XPS 13)

Key specifications

• Video output: HDMI, up to 3840×2160 @ 30Hz (4K Ultra HD), stereo audio
• USB ports: 2 × USB 3.0 / 3.1 Gen1 (5 Gbps)
• USB-C port: 1 × USB-C Power Delivery / Data (supports charging and data transfer; does not support video output)
• Compatibility: devices with USB-C / Thunderbolt 3 connector (requires DisplayPort Alt Mode for video output and device support for Power Delivery where applicable)
• Driver installation: automatic via host operating system

How to use

Connect the adapter to a device with a USB-C or Thunderbolt 3 port. Attach an HDMI cable from the adapter to an external monitor, TV or projector for video and audio output. Plug USB-A peripherals into the USB 3.0 ports for data transfer. If charging is required, connect a USB-C AC power adapter to the USB-C Power Delivery/data port; this will charge the host device while other ports remain functional. Note that the USB-C PD port supports data transfer but does not carry video signals.

Recommendations

Before purchase or use, verify that your device supports DisplayPort Alt Mode for HDMI video output and, if you plan to charge the device via the adapter, that it supports USB Power Delivery. Check your device manual or contact the device manufacturer for details to ensure full compatibility.
